St. Joseph Church Prayer WalkSt. Joseph Church Fr. Tom Stehlik, C.M.

The November 29, 2014 Prayer Walk at St. Joseph Church lead was led by Fr. Tom Stehlik, C.M. Pastor. Fr. Tom led the Procession thru the city of New Orleans along Tulane Ave. and down to S. Rocheblave St. toward Canal St. From Canal St. the Procession headed south to S. Claiborne Ave. and then back home to St. Joseph's Church on Tulane Ave. Fr. Tom sang along the way in-between the rosary decades. Some of the people whom we encountered along the way sang with us as the Procession passed them by. Parishioners from St. Joseph Church, the Archdiocesan Holy Name Society, and friends of CTGS Eucharistic Ministry volunteered to help take turns carrying the Incenser, the Processional Cross, the Monstrance, the Processional Canopy, and in praying the decades of the rosary. It was a very special gift to be able to bring the Eucharistic Presence of Our Lord to the streets of New Orleans with the assistance of this dedicated local Shepherd! Thank you Fr. Stehlik for helping to bring Christ's blessings, peace, and healing to this area of the city of New Orleans. (Photos courtesy of Bernie Saul of Bernie Saul Photography.
